New to Cove Kids?  What to Expect

Arriving at Cove Kids

When you arrive at Cove Kids, a welcoming leader will greet you and help you sign-in your child.  For first time families, a leader will help you register you and your child into our system.  Your child will be given a name tag for personal identification.  The adult checking your child into the classroom will also be given an identification label that is necessary to release the child at the end of the service.    Your tag will need to be presented at your child’s classroom at the time of pick up.  An adult must check-in and check-out your child.
 

 
Nursery

Infants through Two-Year-Olds
Our Nursery program is divided into five age categories: infants, crawlers, walkers, runners, and two-year-olds.   Our curriculum is age-appropriate and includes play centers, Bible stories and sing-a-longs.  Snacks (Cheerios® and/or Goldfish®) will be provided for your child once they graduate to the crawler classroom.  Please inform your child’s teacher if your child has a food allergy. 

As you know, it is not unusual for little ones to cry when leaving a parent. This usually does not last long and separation will become easier over time. Our caring leaders will immediately try to soothe your child while assuring them that you will return soon.  If your child cries for an extended period of 10 minutes, we will contact you via a visual prompt on the side screens in the main auditorium. 
 

What To Bring For Your Child

When packing a diaper bag for your child, please include the following items:

1. Two or three disposable diapers (no cloth diapers, please).
2. Pacifier or any other item(s) your child needs to feel secure.
3. A complete change of clothes.
4. A bottle of milk, formula, juice or water. (This is helpful even for children who are being nursed.)
 

Please label all personal items with your child's first and last name before arriving at your child's class.

Early Childhood

Three-Year-Olds through Kindergarten
The Early Childhood curriculum is age-appropriate and includes play centers, Bible stories and verses, travel to large group sing-a-longs and teaching, prayer time and individual class activities.  Snacks (Cheerios® and/or Goldfish®) will be provided for your child.  Please inform your child’s teacher if your child has a food allergy.

Your Child's Health
We operate a well-child program. For the protection of all the children in our ministry, we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in the program while they are at risk of exposing other children. Thank you in advance for helping us to keep our Cove Kids program a healthy place for kids.
 

Grade School

First through Fifth Grade
This is an awesome place for your child to hang out on the weekend!  They will have the opportunity to play a friendly game of foosball, play “E for Everyone” video games, challenge a leader to a game of basketball, create artistic masterpieces, and sing along with the Cove Kids band.

Most importantly, we’ll teach them lessons from the Bible that are relevant to what they are living today!  With energetic and interactive worship, your child will have a blast! Students will also break off into small groups to discuss the Bible lesson and how to apply it into their daily lives.

Students in the 1st through 3rd grade meet in Auditorium 3 and Students in the 4th and 5th grade meet separately in Auditorium 2.
