OutREACH @ The Cove

Make a significant difference in others' lives through The Cove's OutREACH program. Whether you deliver appliances and furniture to local families or travel to another country to build a school, there is a place for you to join in and reach out to others. The mission of The Cove OutREACH is to connect and serve in ways that meet needs and transform lives. It's one of our purposes for existing:

And if you see a need and have a plan to make a difference, the OutREACH Team needs you. We want to give you a place to explore your purpose and how you can be used to change the world. Support for your mission and passion is what we're all about.

We focus our efforts in many different directions. In Acts 1:8, Jesus Himself tells us we should look for needs and ways to share right here in our community and then expand to our state, nation and the world.

Local

At The Cove Church, we believe our mission is to introduce others to Jesus. By serving our local community-our friends and neighbors-we are opening a door to show the love of God.

The OutREACH Team helps right in our area by partnering with various community organizations. Projects such as a Habitat home or serving in the local soup kitchen meet real needs. In this way, Cove friends can use their gifts and talents to share the love of Jesus.

Regional & National

There are several OutREACH projects that focus beyond our immediate community. These projects include construction trips to West Virginia or the Gulf Coast. Helping our church plant in Virginia Beach-Epic Church-is yet another way to get involved.

International

Members of the OutREACH Team have taken trips around the world. Get connected to our next trip by getting involved now. During Christmas at The Cove,

shoeboxes are collected and shipped to children in orphanages and in under-developed countries as we become aware of needs.

Financial Care

The Cove continually helps people in need by donating cars, providing food and helping in many other ways. If you would like to help others needing financial assistance, join our Financial Care Email List to receive emails about opportunities and specific needs. Both givers and recipients are kept completely confidential.

Also, many of the OutREACH projects are in need of funds. For example, there may be willing hands to put on a roof, but the funds may be a hurdle. If you are interested in offering financial help to send a willing team member or fund a project, please contact us.
